Over the weekend, I received a package from L.V. KiKi, an accessory subscription service that will deliver trendy accessories to your door step. L.V. KiKi offers customers three tiers of subscription options. You have the option of prepaying $180 for a 1 year subscription, prepay $102 for a 6 month subscription, or pay $19 for a month-to-month subscription. Each month you will receive a surprise assortment of 4-6 accessories (jewelry, shoes, scarves, gloves, hats, etc.). Don't like surprises? Don't want to commit to a monthly subscription? No worries! They also offer 3 trial boxes that show you what you're getting before you get it. L.V.KiKi also offers their products individually so you can shop for specific items.. With that kind of system, everybody wins! Now, let's get into the review.
The box that was sent to me contained items from their Alyson Box, which is one of three Customer Favorite Trial Boxes. I'm kind of stoked that they sent me this box because it was definitely my favorite out of the available options.
The first item that I unboxed was the burgundy headband. I immediately fell in love with the detail of the beaded design. It was elegant and fun without being too flashy. The front is a soft, faux suede material and the back is a plain black elastic band. The fit of the headband was snug but extremely comfortable. My biggest pet-peeve is when a headband is so tight, it squeezes my head and cuts off my circulation. This headband did not give me that problem. I was able to wear it all day!
The second item that was unboxed was the cutest grey fedora! I was happy and surprised to find that the hat wasn't made from a flimsy, thin material. The hat had a nice weight to it which implied to me, the hat was of good quality. As soon as I removed it from the box, my husband couldn't stop admiring it. I literally had to pry it out of his hands in order to get it back! The hat is very simple, sporting just a black band with white stitching. Simple hats are perfect for any wardrobe because they can be mixed and matched with many different outfits. When I tried it on, the hat was just a tad bit snug but I have a pretty large head so I'm sure this is a one size fits all type of hat.
The third item I unboxed was hands down my favorite! It was a multi-colored poncho/wrap! I've been wanting one of these for a long time and I was too thrilled when I saw that's what was waiting for me. I'm super short so this wrap is extremely long on me (but I like that). The only downside to being short is that when I wear clothing that's too large in size, it makes me look kind of bulky but I don't care! The texture is so soft and it was thick enough to keep me warm in my very chilly office. I don't see myself parting from this wrap for a while. The only down side is that this wrap does shed quiet a bit. I did get a little warm while working in the office so I removed my wrap and my black pants were covered in fibers. So if you want to rock this, I would stay away from dark colored pants. Other than that, this wrap is so perfect!
(I was literally on my way to work so I'm in this alleyway since my car is parked back there. Don't you dare judge me. Ok, I'll understand if you do.)
The final piece is a long black pendant necklace. The one that I received was damaged but the L.V. Kiki team did offer to ship a new one. So they definitely get a thumbs up for amazing customer service. This was definitely my least favorite piece just because I'm not really big on necklaces but I do love the crystal design of the pendant.
In conclusion, I would definitely recommend giving L.V. KiKi a try. They have a ton of items that you can choose from. What's so special about this company is that they offer different styles for all types of fashion preferences. I think a subscription box for accessories is a brilliant idea and worth the investment. I've given you my secrets on how to revamp your wardrobe on a budget and L.V. KiKi has you covered with all of your accessory needs.
