3 Things You Need For Ultimate Relaxation At Home

I’m a huge spa fan but my pocketbook can’t always afford the spa services I want on a consistent basis. One of the services that I love when I do head to the spa is a relaxing bath! After a few visits to the spa and some recreation trial and error, I’ve found the three secrets that are essential to having the best time of relaxation at home.

Candles

There is nothing that will create the most serene ambiance like a few candles in the corners of your bathroom and tub. The warm glow from the candle will playfully dance on the walls as the warm water soaks away all stresses of the day. I love using vanilla scented candles because they usually have a softer scent that won’t clash with any other scents you choose to use. If you're looking for a good brand of candles to use, I’ve heard a lot about Diptyque Candles (mainly from DJ Khaled’s snapchat) but this is brand is currently on my wishlist.

Bath Bomb

This has been my favorite product to use during my bath time. I absolutely love the fizzy sound it makes when it hits the water, I'm a huge fan of the different fragrances they come in, and I enjoy the colors the bath bomb tints my bathwater! Bath bombs make bath time fun for adults and that is something I can't see myself ever giving up! There is such a huge variety of bombs -- there are bath bombs with lavender scents to promote relaxation, there are bath bombs with electrifying colors, glitter, and even dried flowers. The choices are endless!

P.S. Lush has some of the best bath bombs EVER!

Deep Cleaning Pore Mask

Now that you’re sitting in a hot and steamy area, it’s time to deep clean those pores! Before I get into my bath, I like to wash my face thoroughly. Cleaning my face first removes the dirt, oils, and dead skin cells that like to chill on the surface of my skin. Afterwards, I follow up with a deep cleansing mask so it has easy access into my pores. After soaking in the tub for my desired time, I remove the mask only to reveal smooth and glowing skin! I've been using the Formula 10.0.6 Deep Down Detox Ultra-Cleansing Mud Mask and it has been working so well for me! I even use it as a spot treatment if I don't want it on my entire face.
You’re all set and officially on your way to relaxation! You now know the three important keys to having the ultimate spa bath at home. All that’s missing is your favorite drink and some slow jams. Now turn off the light and enjoy a little “you” time.

What are some of your favorite relaxation routines?
