As some of you may know, I am a HUGE fan of Chef Marcus Samuelsson. So huge of a fan, that when I heard that he is scheduled to be in Philadelphia for a panel discussion to celebrate Black History Month with Macy's, I couldn’t say no. If you’re interested in attending this awesome FREE event and learning more abut what to expect, I’ve included all the details for you.
The event will be held at the Macy’s in Center City Philadelphia, PA on February 9th, 2017 at 5:30pm. This exciting night of celebrating Black art and culture will include the following: a panel discussion with Macy’s Culinary Council Chef, Marcus Samuelsson, amazing poetry from Philadelphia spoken word artist, Supreme Dow, and an electric performance by the Harlem based band, The Rakiem Walker Project. As the event winds down, mix and mingle while enjoying recipes from Samuelsson’s “The Red Rooster Cookbook”. You also have the opportunity to take home a free copy of Marcus Samuelsson’s “The Red Rooster Cookbook” with any $35 home department purchase.
Now, doesn't this sound like an amazing event that you don’t want to miss? If your answer is a resounding “YES”, make sure you RSVP for this event at macysbhmphilly2017.eventbrite.com. You will also receive a $10 Macy’s gift card when you check in for the event (while supplies last). Also, please keep in mind that RSVPing grants you access into the event but DOES NOT guarantee you a seat. Please make sure you arrive on time to snag yourself a seat.
Alright, you now have the inside scoop of what to expect. I'm super excited to be in attendance for this event and I hope to see you all there!
