If you’ve been following along with my journey, then you’ll see that in my first and second blog post , my desire has been to lose weight. This is officially the third week of me reading Always Eat After 7PM and I see progress! I started intermittent fasting last week and I dropped 5lbs! 5lbs may not seem like a lot to some but as a woman who struggles with PCOS, losing 5lbs is jaw-dropping. I never want to push myself in an unhealthy way where I feel like I’m just starving myself and now that I’ve read how intermittent fasting works, I was clearly mistaken.
Intermittent fasting isn’t just about fasting, it’s a number of things that are happening internally when you intermittent fast. Your hormone levels increase without exercise, you lower your risk of developing diabetes, and for those who struggle with PCOS like me, it helps to correct insulin resistance. While these were only a few reasons why intermittent fasting is the task for me, I feel extremely motivated to continue my journey towards a healthier life.
